Water Savings Distribution Center


The Town of Los Gatos has teamed up with the Santa Clara Valley Water district to offer a Water Savings Distribution Center at our Parks & Public Works Department! Residents can now get their drought gear between the hours of 8:00am to 1:00pm, Monday through Friday, at the following address:

Water-Wise House Call
A Water-Wise House Call is a free home water use survey that helps identify opportunities where you can conserve water. Water-Wise House Calls are available for Santa Clara County residents and apartment managers Monday through Saturday, during daylight hours. Rebate Updates & Programs
Before purchasing equipment or beginning any project, customers should check eligibility requirements at: www.valleywater.org or call the Water Conservation Hotline. Certain restrictions apply and funding may be limited: 
Landscape Conservation Rebate Program
Rebate for converting high water using landscapes to low water using landscapes is $1.00 per square foot. These costs may be higher in some cost-sharing retailer areas.

Landscape Rebate Program
Several irrigation hardware rebates have doubled. Residents may receive up to $1,000 for landscape meters, flow sensors and hydrometers.

Weather based irrigation controllers are now eligible for a rebate of up to $1,000 per controller that serves 13 to 24 stations and $2,000 per controller that serves 25 or more stations. Rebates for controllers with 1 to 12 stations remain up to $300 per controller.

Graywater Laundry to Landscape Rebate Program
Rebates for residential sites that properly connect a clothes washer to a graywater irrigation system have doubled to $200. Please visit Gray Water for Landscape  for more information.

Commercial Rebate Programs
Commercial rebates are available for qualifying businesses, apartment complexes and schools in Santa Clara County for air-cooled ice machines, and connectionless food steamers. Rebates that have increased include:
  • Businesses that replace or update equipment which results in a measurable water reduction may receive a rebate of $8.00 per 100 cubic feet of water saved per year, or 50 percent of the project cost, whichever is less. That is double the previous rebate amount.
  • Connectionless commercial food steamers can earn a rebate of up to $1,000 per compartment, up from $485.

Residential High Efficiency Clothes Washer Rebate Program
Purchase and install a qualifying Energy Star Most Efficient clothes washer and you may be eligible to receive up to $150 for a combined water agency and PG&E rebate. For more information or to apply, visit: www.waterenergysavings.com

Submeter Rebate Program
Mobile home parks and condominium complexes can receive up to $150 per installed submeter for changing from a master water meter to individual water submeters.
