As authorized by the Clean Water Act, the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit program controls water pollution by regulating discharge pollutants into waters of the United States.
The goal of provision C.3 is for local jurisdictions to use their planning authorities to include appropriate design measures for new and redevelopment projects to control stormwater runoff pollutant discharges. For this reason, all projects are required to complete the Town of Los Gatos NPDES C.3 Data Form.
