1. Where can I get sandbags?

During the winter months, unfilled sandbags are available for Los Gatos residents at the Balzer Field parking lot, located on Miles Avenue. There is a 10 sandbag limit. For more information, call (408) 399-5770.

2. When is a tree removal permit necessary?

Tree removal permits are required for all tree removals, per the Town's Tree Ordinance. Permit applications are available from the Town Clerk's office or the Parks and Public Works Department. Failure to obtain a tree removal permit may result in a fine. For more information call (408) 399-5770. For more information on the tree removal permit process click here

3. How do I report a street, sidewalk or curb needing repair?

For street and sidewalks that are in the public right-of-way, residents are encouraged to report items needing repair. Please provide the location, including cross street(s) and address, of the street-related item needing repair. Staff will review your request. 4. How can I learn more about mosquitos or the West Nile virus?

The Santa Clara County Vector Control District oversees vector health issues. Vectors can be a mosquito, a rat, a flea, a tick, or any animal or insect that can transmit disease or cause harm to humans. For more information call (408) 918.4770 or (800) 675.1155 click here

5. How do I report a street light outage?

Some streetlights in Los Gatos are maintained by the Town, while others are the property of Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E). As a rule of thumb, the streetlights on metal poles are maintained by the Town while the PG&E lights are those on wooden poles. For more information about reporting a street light outage click here
